内战全面爆发
1946年6月，马歇尔在北京和南京两头跑腿调停，结果两边谁也没听他的。蒋介石大军扑向中原，国共正式掀了桌子。两个手里有军队的党坐在一起谈民主，这事从一开始就纯属扯淡。谁都知道枪杆子才是硬道理，全国几百万人被卷进战场，一场把大陆打得天翻地覆的内战正式开打。

Under the Second United Front agreed after the Xi'an Incident, the Red Army in northern Shaanxi was redesignated the Eighth Route Army of the National Revolutionary Army in August 1937 and ambushed a Japanese supply column at Pingxingguan on 25 September 1937.

这事情说白了很简单：两个都要当唯一太阳的权力狂，根本没办法同坐一条板凳。马歇尔以为带一本美国宪法就能让人放下屠刀，未免太天真。蒋介石以为自己有飞机大炮，三个月就能荡平对手，结果兵撒得越广死得越快，仗还没打完，自家的钱庄先塌了台。
