中印战争
1962年10月20日，中共军队在喜马拉雅山东西两线突然打响反击战。短短几个星期，印度部队被打得抱头鼠窜，前锋直插阿萨姆平原，新德里一片惊慌。就在全世界以为中国要大举占领的时候，北京却突然宣布单方面停火，主动往后退了二十公里。这出打完了就跑的战法，把各国军事家全看傻了。

性质
中印边界战争是一场打完就收的教训战。毛泽东只想打痛尼赫鲁，保住新疆通往西藏的公路，根本无意占领印度平原。但这一顿暴打，让印度彻底成了宿敌。新德里从此倒向美苏采购先进武器，喜马拉雅山上的冰雪边境，就此变成了长达几十年的火药桶。
